my first "reveal" cake

Michael's friend and co-worker had a gender reveal party and I was honored to the cake.  Here is the invite the Mom-to-be's sister designed.  It was also my guide on how to decorate the cake.  The inside held a nice surprise, too.

I was tempted to put some flowers on the outside, but I was afraid I would "give it away".   I had to stick with my instructions. :)

It's a GIRL! :)

Congratulatoins Andrew and Heather! We can't wait to meet the newest member of your family! :)

Another one on the way :)

Another Pregger Lady coming your way...this is about how I look these days too, if you were wondering :) Lots of fun and excitement with a new boy for this Momma! I was especially excited about seeing Linda again, with Gaston County Pre-K, and the hardest teacher I had in college! :) Just another reason why I enjoy doing what I do! Hope the shower was great Linda! :)

Next stop was Tiffany. Tiffany, her siser, and I all went to school togther, and Stepahnie (the sister) is having a baby girl...Avery Grace...so sweet...

Sleeping Baby

Another sweet little sleeping baby for my old college teacher, mentor, then bosslady, and friend, Linda, from Gaston County Schools Pre-K program. If you haven't heard how great of a program this is for your little ones before going into Kindergarten, call me and I'll tell you! Or, you can look up more info here.

There were cake bites to go along with the cake as well.

don't you love the milk?

Little Boy(s) Blue

Little Boy Blue come blow your horn,
The sheep's in the meadow, the cows in the corn.
But where's the boy who looks after the sheep?
He's under a haystack, fast asleep
Will you wake him? No, not I- for if I do he's sure to cry.

These cuties were made for twin boys. This makes 3 sets of twins that I've heard about within the past 2 months! There are some Momma's out there holding something sweeter than these cupcakes will ever be. Congratulations to all! :)

Catching up!

It's been a little crazy around the Bradley house lately, so I haven't had a chance to update new pictures. So, here goes! :)
Two giraffes for twin girls who came early! :)
Red Velvet for Gus, the b-day guy...also, the guy's house we stayed in at Fripp Island this week, which was A-W-E-S-O-M-E! Thanks Gus! His daughter, Claire, wanted the little note to be somewhere on them as well... sweet :)

Dance cupcakes for Lesley's dance team who finished competition a few weeks ago! Way to go girls!!

Addie and Emma, twins who celebrated their 4th birthday, also the family we spent the week with at Fripp Island, had their party at Monkey Joes... SO much fun! I love their hair bows :)

close-up :)

the magic of my cricut...anybody want to donate $ so I can upgrade to the biggie? no harm in asking right? :)

Here comes the fun! I was asked to do some goodies for the Biology Department at Davidson College for their graduate social... I thought huh? Then, Lauren sent me some ideas to choose from to help me out...I was an Early Childhood major..we know nothing about biology... :) So, this is what we came up with...who knew I would draw DNA on a mini cupcake?

In the assortment were bones, assorted flowers, turtles, ladybugs, leaves, DNA and more.

Happy 2010 Biology graduates :)

Baby Reese

I love what I do. This cake was requested by a friend I haven't seen in over a year. I love it when something as simple as a cake allows me to see those I have missed in my life!
I also love the little pacifier in her mouth :)

Cake Maddness!

What a crazy weekend for cakes!
To start off, I was contacted by a lady who knows two friends of mine, Lucy and Wendy. She's worked with both, Wendy, for design...and Lucy for photography. So, automatically, I felt like I knew her. It was like an old friend coming over when she picked up her goodies. The giraffe was for her son, Chase, who just turned a year old this past week.

Next, I had fun getting to know this super cute and bright character, Little Miss Sunshine. Her pigtails are my favorite. She was for Skye, Carson's sister, who had the ladybug cake.

Little Miss Sunshine, for Little Miss Skye!

She also had matching cake pops!
On to babyland, we go! A bright-eyed elephant for a couple who are expecting next month, but chose not to find out the sex of the baby! I can't imagine not knowing with only 1 month left to go! Congrats guys! :)

Last, but not least...my first preggo lady! My inspiration came from here. I have anticipated this for a while now, and finally had the opportunity to make this cake for a special couple, Matt and Christina. I can't wait to meet little Sean!

I love her pointy toe shoes ;)
